What colour goes with gold in a livingroom?

Hi ,i am going to start decorating my livingroom soon and am thinking of gold coloured paint on two walls but not sure what colour would go well with this on my other two walls, my suite is Terracotta, my flooring is beech laminate and i have a white rug , curtains are also white, can anyone give me any ideas? i am thinking darker curtains even black next to the gold wall ,any help would be much appreciated ,thanks ,Lorna
