My 5 month old yorkie is pooping everywhere?

When his poop is hard he will go on his pad with no problem. But for some reason (this has happened 3x) I will wake up and there will be skid marks on my rug and he will have a glob of poop stuck in his poop. I haven't changed his food or anything. I've had his glands checked already and they released them about a month ago. Would his glands being full cause this??
