If you braid wet synthetic hai…‡

I have synthetic hair extensions I wanna make wavy. I tried leving it in braids for a night while it was dry but it didn't wave at all! So I was wondering of you think it would wave if I left it in braids while it was wet? Or is synthetic hair diffrent? Any ideas woild be great thanks!
